Welcome

Welcome to Today’s Fresh Start Charter School’s (TFSCS) website. What’s Happening at TFSCS?

TFSCS is eagerly on track anticipating the California High Stakes STAR tests.  Although only second through eighth grades are required to be administered  the STAR tests; we begin in August preparing students.

Student Progress Reports have been issued and all parents are required to review their child’s progress. We know parents are the child’s first teacher; therefore, TFSCS expects each parent to partner with TFSCS by volunteering, attend parent meetings and encouraging their child to become “the best that he/she can be. Saturday Enrichment is continuing, along with After School Tutoring. Our parents are continually made aware of how important they are in the achievement of their child’s learning and their future and their value to TFSCS overall.. TFSCS small classes, small group instruction and individual students are reviewed for their academic progress to determine student needs. Re-teaching of standards is an integral part of the TFSCS program. Students receive personal attention as our teachers and administration are interested in students’ emotional development, social development and academic achievement.

The Mission of TFSCS is to reach each student individually, grooming  every child as he/she becomes a “life long learner” through our individualized prescriptive program..” We believe in our students, have high expectations for each one and expect each student to achieve to his/her greatest potential. We tell them that they can achieve and be the best. We tell them that they can learn and learn well. Today’s Fresh Start Charter School is growing toward our goal of “school and student excellence.”

Today’s Fresh Start Charter School has two charters: under the Inglewood Unified School District and the State Board of Education. The TFSCS schools under both charters are Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Thanks for visiting TFSCS’ website. We look forward to seeing you.
